What is this event about?

Get a clear, practical understanding of carbon accounting and why it matters for your organization. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of greenhouse gas reporting, including consolidation approaches and the differences between Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Through an interactive activity, you’ll explore how to identify, track, and ultimately reduce both your organization’s and your supply chain’s carbon footprint—equipping you with the knowledge to take meaningful climate action.

This workshop will provide participants with: 

  • An understanding of the concept of ‘scopes’ 
  • Sources of carbon and the GHG Protocol 
  • Guidance on setting Organizational Boundaries
  • Guidance on Setting Operational Scopes for carbon 
  • Insight on why we need them for reporting
 

What are the attendance / technical requirements? 

You will need:

  • Internet connection
  • A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook)
  • Earphones/headphones/speakers (preferable)
  • A tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone to load facilitation tools

Please arrive promptly and stay for the duration of the event. This means arriving no later than 10 minutes to the webinar and attending the full hour.  

To receive your CE accreditation and for this to be tracked through your Supply Chain Sustainability School dashboard make sure your full name is reflected on your Zoom account when you join the session.  

Please note, if you fail to meet the attendance requirements, unfortunately you will not be issued a CE Certificate.
